Dr. Capps, our main point of contact throughout this project, was very eager and excited to get a new site for the practice. And rightly so—Capps, Bowman, Padgett, and Associates received one of the very first Roadside websites ever, originally launched in 2003! Over the years we performed many visual and technical updates to their Flash site, but Dr. Capps realized it was time to tap into the power of a new HTML site.
Some unique features of www.cappsbowman.com:
Capps, Bowman, Padgett, and Associates is a high-volume practice with multiple teams. Our biggest goal for this section was to make sure we could fit all three teams’ information on the page without creating excessive amounts of scrolling. When you first visit the Meet the Team page, you see three group photos with thumbnails below (photo 1 above), allowing visitors to scroll between the teams. Once you move lower on the page, you’ll see expandable areas for each team (photo 2 above). Once you click “Click to learn more” the area expands so you can see each team members photo and bio (photo 3 above).
Since the practice consists of 4 main doctors, we used the same technology on this page, too. Patients want to get to know the doctors and team before they visit the practice, and this is a great way to showcase several important people without cluttering up the site.
The inner pages on Dr. Capps’ new site allow for much more information to be displayed than on his old Flash site. On the Instant Orthodontics page we’re able to show before and after cases, a logo, video thumbnail, and a Request an Appointment form further down.
The Smile Gallery on this site has some really cool features! For example, the thumbnails under the gallery animate and light up when you hover over them—something not found on any other Roadside website.
Dr. Capps was passionate about upgrading his site to something cutting-edge both in terms of visual features and search engine optimization. His new site has only been launched a little over a month and he’s already received great feedback from new and existing patients—congratulations!
